Facilities - Malta Cricket Association
The Cricket ground has a well-grassed outfield and a net-practise area dominated by a colonial-style pavilion. The oval measures 125 metres by 90 metres wide.
The pitch is a concrete strip with an artificial mat (Wimbledon Unreal Grass)
glued on top.
This makes rubber-soled shoes a pre-requisite.
Maltese limestone bricks demarcate the boundary and make up the large sight-screens.
With views of Maltese churches and surrounded by palm trees, this is an historic and beautiful ground.
The pavilion is also built from limestone bricks and houses a changing-room
with showers and kit-rooms for home and away. The pavilion also boasts LCD TV
with sports channels, Pool table, cooling fans and fridge. Internet is
available for a small charge. Outside the pavilion is a wooden-fenced
enclosure. To the right side of the pavilion are two practice-nets of similar
construction to the central pitch. To the left side is a small terrace, where
spectators can enjoy the sun and play.
