On Saturday, the hosts batted first and a superb showing from Joy Ghoseroy, who scored 50 runs, set up the innings.
Ronnie Sacco also produced one of his best innings this year and scored 44 as Marsa totalled 176 from their allotted overs.
For Essington, J. Broadhurst was the main wicket-taker with three.
In the visitors' reply, Marsa were looking comfortable with early wickets. Only Francis had made 28 runs for Essington. Then, N. Hickman (32) and A. Gibson (40) turned the game round and had their team back on track and the locals really worried. However, once the wickets of Hickman and Gibson were taken, the Marsa bowlers were able to contain the game and they won it by 16 runs. Mike Caruana and Ronnie Sacco were the main wicket-takers with three apiece.
On Sunday, Marsa again batted first. Nowell Khosla opened strongly and top-scored with 43 runs.
Javed Shah added 41, his tally including three 4s and a 6, and Andy Lenard 25. Chris Naudi (23 not out) and Andy Naudi (30 not out) saw out the allotted overs as Marsa totalled 210 runs.
The visitors were far from Saturday's form and Essington were bowled out for 138 runs. Gibson, again, was their main source of inspiration with 33 runs.
Marsa won the series two-nil.
Separately, last week Marsa also played the third game against Brooklands who were here on their fourth tour to the islands.
They batted first and totalled 111 runs from 40 overs with R. Leach leading Brooklands' charge with 34 runs.
In reply, Marsa stood up strongly with Khosla and Andy Naudi hitting a joint top score of 43 runs.
These innings set up the win for the home side who, however, still lost the series 2-1.
Next Saturday, Marsa take on The Journeyman CC, another new touring side from the UK.
